#IamRemarkable is a Google initiative founded by Anna Vainer, aiming to empower women and underrepresented groups and help them completely own their achievements and talk about them openly without inhibitions.

Check out their page here.

If you are someone who thinks your accomplishments are not worthy enough or if you think you just need some inspiration to speak up about yourself, then #IamRemarkable has got you covered.

Here is why you should give it a shot at one of the #IamRemarkable workshops.

1. Free

It is completely free of cost and you can sign up for one of these workshops at a time comfortable to you.

You can sign up here.

2. 90 minutes- structured format

The workshop has a definite structure that the facilitator follows. You first introduce yourself on the chat followed by a few minutes of learning from the facilitator. It is then followed by a few #IamRemarkable activities (I personally loved these!) which eventually leads to points 4, 5 and 6.

3. Small groups

Because a session allows only up to a maximum of 20 to 25 attendees(the one which I attended had only 22 people), there is a lot of room for effective communication and one-to-one interaction.

4. Confidence Booster

Talking about your own achievements gives you a sense of satisfaction. It reemphasizes your worth. Even more so, when your group applauds you for what you think wasn’t great. (Interesting, don’t you think?)

5. Perspective

You get to meet and know about people from different countries and ethnicities. All of them have under their belt so many amazing achievements and are here for one purpose, to be able to speak confidently about these achievements. Interacting with such a group helps you see how people perceive achievements.

What you might consider insignificant to talk about yourself is celebrated by many others.

It definitely did help me put things in perspective.

6. Network.

I am a fan of networking and getting to know people around the world and about the wonderful things they do. This workshop lets you make friends and forge professional relationships with all of the attendees.

You could even go a step ahead and sign up to become an #IamRemarkable facilitator.

Thanks to my facilitator Edith, for hosting such a positive session for all of us.

What are you waiting for?

Go book your session. Because #YouareRemarkable
