2021- Moving my plans from the back of my mind to the forefront

I have always been afraid to acknowledge the plans I have for myself. Even though I would ardently want to achieve something(and even have, to a certain extent)I would relegate all my plans to the back of my mind. This was a trick I devised to feel the apparent control I had over my plans, so they would not seem too overwhelming. If I charted my plans down, they had to be done no matter what, so having plans just lingering in my head made them buzz at the times I wanted them to and I would never have to take any pressure from within. Now that I think about it, I think this is why I never set new year resolutions- simply because I was afraid I would never be able to see them to the end.

But here is a list of things I want to do in 2021, things that have been in the back of my mind, but I want them to seem more powerful in my eyes in 2021. I want to be able to properly set deadlines and sort out my projects. This is so that when I look back to this day on the 30th of December 2021, I feel satisfied with myself.

  1. The GRE Project
  2. The Travel Project- Loosen up and just go have fun
  3. The Savings Project- 20% savings
  4. The Driving Project- Learn to take that damn car on to the roads
  5. Sort out what I want to do for my masters and apply away
  6. The Reading Project- Read at least 15 books
  7. The Performer Project- Sing at least once a week(record a video), try getting paid gigs
  8. The Writing Project — Write more about anything I feel like writing(with or without purpose) The purpose in question being brand development.
  9. The Fitness Project — And most importantly, be consistent with my workout and diet regime for a healthy body (and of course to slim down)

Now, instead of viewing these as tasks, I am gonna view them as projects with KPIs and stuff. I am really hoping 2021 brings loads of love, luck and opportunities my way. If not, I am gonna go hunt for them anyway. So overall, I have a really positive feeling about this.

Message to the future Navya — Navi, I hope you really had a good time with 2021 and that you met your goals for yourself. I am sure you have grown intellectually and emotionally this year and that you are still hopeful about everything in life. I admire you!
